The aim of Sakarya University International Office is to increase our University's participation in European Union programs and to support both academic and administrative staff to take part in different programs in order to strengthen their international contacts and to promote our university on different platforms abroad. Since 2004, it has enabled approximately …… academic and administrative staff to benefit from mobility within the scope of the Erasmus Program and International cooperation.
With this mission, the international office provides opportunities for its academics to contribute to their development abroad with experts in their fields. Sakarya University opens the door to international exchange for the professional development of academics with its consortiums in areas that will contribute to regional development.
Sakarya University is in constant communication with universities with which it has bilateral agreements in many parts of the world in order to increase the number and quality of academics benefiting from international mobility. It strives to increase the number of international activities of its academicians by supporting their participation in meetings, fairs and congresses on international platforms. It especially takes its place at EAIE (International Education Association) meetings every year. As a result of the work carried out by faculty and department coordinators in cooperation with the International Office, Sakarya University currently has approximately 400 agreements with nearly 200 European universities. Our university has been carrying out mobility programs and activities of academicians as a coordinator within the scope of Erasmus + International Credit Mobility since 2019. It coordinates KA171 projects with 23 institutions from 19 countries.
