The Sakarya University International Office aims to enhance the university’s participation in European Union programs and support both academic and administrative staff in engaging with a variety of international initiatives. Since 2004, nearly 4,000 staff members have benefited from mobility opportunities under the Erasmus Program and other international cooperation activities.
The office provides academics with opportunities to collaborate with experts globally, fostering professional development and international exchange through diverse consortia that contribute to regional growth. With active partnerships and bilateral agreements worldwide, Sakarya University is dedicated to increasing the quality and volume of international academic mobility.
To expand the global engagement of its staff, Sakarya University encourages participation in international events such as conferences, fairs, and EAIE (European Association for International Education) meetings. The collaborative efforts of faculty and departmental coordinators have resulted in over 400 agreements with approximately 200 European universities.
As a coordinator of Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility since 2019, Sakarya University currently oversees KA171 projects in partnership with 23 institutions across 19 countries, driving international cooperation and academic development.
