Sakarya University has officially become a Eurodesk Contact Point following evaluations conducted by the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish National Agency.
Eurodesk is a broad European information network designed to inform young people about international education, internship, volunteering, and cultural exchange opportunities such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). As part of this network, Sakarya University will expand its efforts in guiding students, organizing seminars, and actively involving them in European projects. This development will make it easier for students to access opportunities in Europe while reinforcing the university’s internationalization vision.
European Opportunities for the City and Students
As part of this process, which will be managed by Sakarya University’s International Office Coordination, Coordinator Lecturer Dr. Tuba Tatar emphasized that becoming a Eurodesk Contact Point marks a significant step in the university’s path to becoming a Research University. She also announced that Lecturer Ahmet Erhan Tanyeri has been appointed as the Eurodesk Contact Point Representative.
The Eurodesk Contact Point will primarily offer more opportunities to students, young people in the city, and those who wish to connect with the European Union both nationally and internationally.
With this new status, informative events, seminars, and projects for students at Sakarya University are planned. Young people in the city and across the country, as well as individuals interested in European projects, will be able to visit the university’s International Office Coordination for detailed information about European opportunities.
Thanks to the Eurodesk network, Sakarya University students and those interested will be able to gain more insights into education, internships, and youth projects in Europe and actively participate in these initiatives.
