November Highlights: Updates from Sakarya University International Office Meetings

 

Weekly Coordination Meetings

Throughout November, the International Office held its weekly coordination meetings to discuss strategic plans, ongoing activities, and upcoming events. These meetings aim to enhance the efficiency of the office’s operations and foster international collaborations.

 

Key Initiatives Discussed:

•    Event Planning:

Preparations for the Erasmus+ “Sectional Presidents Meeting” to be held in February 2025 were advanced, with logistical arrangements such as venue booking and meal planning underway.

Additionally, the Info Day event, initially scheduled for December, has been rescheduled for January 2025, ensuring better participation and impact.

 

•    Collaboration and Networking:

Discussions were held regarding the hosting of delegates from Sultan Qaboos University on November 15, with detailed arrangements finalized to showcase our facilities and explore new partnership opportunities.

Moreover, coordination for the “KA152 and ESC30 Project Writing Training” scheduled for December 18 has been finalized.

•    Student Engagement:

Initiatives to enhance the engagement of international and Erasmus students were deliberated. This includes assigning partial work opportunities to students and planning activities in collaboration with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN).

•    Administrative Updates:

A decision was made to adjust the weekly meeting schedule to Tuesday mornings for better synchronization.

Progress on KA171 project applications and mobility programs was also reviewed, ensuring alignment with university and EU guidelines.
